Economic downturns cannot force relationships out of business. I was reminded this morning that the most important thing in life is relationship–with God and with others.
Because of relationship, God created us. Because of relationship, God redeemed us. Because of relationship, He cherishes us. We are too precious to Him to be destroyed by sin or separated from His love.
Philippians 1:21 says “For me to live is Christ . . .” That’s the bottom line. Life for the Christian is all wrapped up in a relationship with Jesus Christ who forgives our past and brightens our future.
Favorite stores may collapse, governmental policy may weaken, normalcy may totter, but relationship in Christ doesn’t downsize. It keeps paying big dividends, now and always.
I enjoyed your post. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
